racing themed Replica Bell&Ross watches

So-called “art cars” can be a dicey proposition. So much Replica Bell&Ross watches depends on your definition of art, for one thing, while for another an automobile, now matter how beautifully designed, can be a tricky canvas at the best of times. Certain artistic styles and techniques obviously lend themselves better to being applied to a motor vehicle, but in the perverse way these things often turn out – thanks mainly to the aesthetically unappealing admixture of too much money and not enough taste – the most unsuitable ones tend to be the most frequently used. BMW’s Art Car program is of course a glaring exception, but then it’s hard to go wrong with a roster like Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein and David Hockney.Firmly in the realm of failure is this previously impeccable McLaren F1 GTR, a rare racecar defiled by French artist César, a leading light of the Nouveau Réalisme movement with what are known as his “radical compressions”. The McLaren was commissioned by French industrialist Jean-Luc Maury-Laribiére in 1995 after the car had been raced at Le Mans. Artcurial Motors, which is auctioning off the eyesore at its Le Mans Classic sale on July 9 at the racetrack, expects it to fetch about €2 Million. Truth be told it’s not actually that terrible – the monochromatic palette saves it from being a total disaster. But we bet it looked a hell of a lot better before César got his mitts on it.Check out how these normal McLaren cars for sale.

Graham finally does a racing themed Replica Bell&Ross watches right. Usually a variation of the Chronofighter, their previous racing themed watches just felt a bit off. This isn’t the first Graham watch made for the Silverstone Stowe race in England, but a much better looking piece that the original with its refined look. Finally, a new timepiece from the British brand that seriously says motor sports as opposed pilot groupie. Starting with the strap, you have modern looking tire tread rubber with the colored stripe that is common in some aftermarket enthusiast race rockets (admittedly carried over from the first model). Green or red to match the dial and bezel colors of the two available versions. The 48mm wide case in PVD black steel with a carbon fiber bezel that matches the carbon fiber dial. Really thick as well at 17mm. In my opinion carbon fiber pretty much only looks good on racing themed watches. As a specific nod to the brand’s now well-known large “trigger style” chronograph pushers, the Graham Silverstone Stowe GMT watch has large pedal style pushers placed on the right side of the watch, and a crown that looks much better this time. The pushers are really large, and help maintain Graham’s typical bulbous look. Instead of a tachymeter on the bezel (typical of other race watches), the watch has a 24 hour scale for the GMT hand. The new power combo of complications is a GMT combined with a chronograph. The dial also have a big date indicator. Graham uses a modified Swiss Valjoux 7750 automatic movement which they call the caliber G1721.Both the red and green trim models are pretty smashing in character. Too bad the pieces are limited to just 250 pieces each. Although if they are successful I have no doubt Graham will continue to Replica Bell&Ross watches assert this style in future timepieces. Price is 9,900 Swiss Francs.By Ariel Adams
