eco-conscious insofar Replica Rolex watches

We all want to be eco-conscious insofar Replica Rolex watches that even the most wasteful of us want a planet to be here to trash in twenty years. That said, hybrids, ethanol-fueled cars, and electric autos tend to disappoint in the power department, leaving us with an unfortunate compromise: power for a clear conscience. It turns out, though, that you don’t have to sacrifice either.Switzer has produced a 900-horsepower ethanol-burning GT-R that they’ve dubbed the E900. Not necessarily imaginative, but it’s allowed to be understated when it burns ears of corn well enough to hit 60 in under 3 seconds with a 220 mph top speed. The fuel injection system got beefed up along side the transmission thanks to Dodson Motorsports of New Zealand. Surprisingly, the corn burner boasts 723 lb-ft of torque all while providing over 20 mpg, so we guess it’s possible to be a car enthusiast and an environmentalist as well.Would you get an ethanol burner if it had serious pull Replica Rolex watches under the hood? Let us know below.

On the 2nd Saturday of September each year a little town in East Sus*** England holds the longest-running road race in the world – The Brighton National Speed Trials. The Brighton Speed Trials held a special magic for Englishman and race enthusiast Gordon Davenport Parker. The Brighton Trials began in 1909 and has been described as, “the most important speed-trials on the British Calendar.” Every driver worth his salt and every street and race car wanting to make a mark showed up.Gordon Parker was a long-time race enthusiast and his friend, Herbert Kinsbury had already built two notable Jag-powered racers. In 1957 Gordon Parker had a dream to set the fastest time of the day at the Brighton Speed Trials so he commissioned his friend and noted engineer, Herbert Kingsbury to create the HK Special Jaguar. The result was the realization of Parker’s dream. On a fine September morning in 1961, Gordon Parker set the record of the day in this HK Special Jaguar.Signed hoto of Gordon Parker driving in the fearsome twin-supercharged HK Jaguar taken at the Prescott meeting in 1962. Photo provided by current owner. This HK Jaguar is a powerhouse driven by an XK-120, 3.5 litre Jaguar engine with two ArnottSuperchargers and a Lucas magneto, churning out over 400 horsepower. The intake manifold is a work of art. Friends of Parker and Kingsbury report that when they first attached this supercharged monster to the dynamometer it read up to 400hp before blowing out the dyno. 410 horsepower was later verified. Behind the engine is a 4-speed Wilson pre-selector gearbox. It has independent front suspension, as well as a deDion independent rear suspension, Alfin drum brakes in the rear and disc brakes in the front. The HK Special Jaguar at British Racing and Sports Car Club Hill Climb 1964. After having set the Brighton Speed Trial Fastest time of Day, he raced the car in hill climbs which are a passion to British sports car enthusiasts. The hill climbs the HK Special entered and won were: Prescott Hill, Shelsley-Walsh, Harewood, Wiscombe, Loton Park, Great Auclum. He also entered the car in: Debden, Gosport, Boreham, Oulton Park and Brands Hatch. At the former Duxford Air Base, he successfully ran against Don Garlits and the “father” of British racing, Sidney Allard. The HK Special has had 4 owners. The 3rd owner was a French collector who raced the car in the LeMans Speed Trials in 1971. Then he retired the car and it was displayed in the LeMans Museum for time. It was then taken out of the museum and the car had not seen the light of day until the last owner purchased it in 2001. The car was, as they say, “rode hard and put away wet.” The condition was deplorable, but thankfully, all in one piece – a blessing for this one-of- a-kind masterpiece. The Jag underwent a thorough and exhausting restoration from 2001-2006. Most recently the car was displayed at the Limerock Race Park in Connecticut in 2006 and invited to the 2007 Concours d’Elegance in Amelia Island, Florida and Greenwich, Connecticut – where it won Best in Class and Best Race Car.Owner, Gordon parker with Derek Buckler by the 3.4L twin-supercharged Buckler Jaguara built in ‘51/’52. An earlier incarnation of the 3.5L HK Jaguar. Note the initials on the car’s nose – GDP1 after Gordon Davenport Parker. Unique at the time was the fiberglass shell. The construction of fiberglass bodies was in its infancy. The Kaiser Darrin and the Chevy Corvette were the first production cars with fiberglass bodies in 1953, though Ford built a fiberglass prototype as early as 1938. The Lotus then came out with a fiberglass chassis on the Elan model in ’62. This HK special masterpiece of imagination and engineering is a marvelous piece of automotive history. Its style is classic and its design revolutionary. We can be thankful to the owners who have invested their love and money to preserve it for our enjoyment. An early video of the HK Jag at Brighton found on YouTube:Even today, the current owner continues to discover more stories about the history of the car from people who knew or worked with Parker or Kingsbury.Take a look at this rarity Replica Rolex watches 1958 HK Special Jaguar here on JamesList.
